English Intermediate Course

This course is for English learners who are ready to add more fluency to everything they’ve learned so far. This level is where you will learn the rest of the verb tenses, get comfortable having a conversation on any topic and be able to work through short texts. We will learn how to communicate in different situations, including phone calls, business meetings, relaxed social settings and formal settings. 
 
Your teacher will always build the class around your interests and your needs. Topics to discuss may be planned ahead of time or may be from something the group started to talk about. Here are some examples of what you can expect in this class:
 
 
CONTENT
  • 16 classes (45 minutes for grammar, 75 minutes for conversation) over 8 weeks 
  • Speaking, reading and writing about a topic interesting to you using the grammar topics
  • Grammar: "that should be..." "around one o'clock..." "If you were to..." and more!
  • Some topics may be social media, past desires, and how to give directions  
  • Videos, exercises to complete and suggestions for practice every week about the same topic you've been learning
